Woman Wearing Headphones

I thought about choosing some “America” themed songs this week in celebration of the Fourth of July, but I ultimately decided against it.

I’ve been banging the following tunes all week long, and I think you’ll enjoy them too!

Civil Twilight – Letters From The Sky

I heard this song while watching I Am Number Four, and I was blown away! Had I not used Shazam to identify the song, I would have guessed that it was a song from Coldplay, The Police, or maybe even Keane. Never heard of Civil Twilight before, but I’ll definitely be watching them going forward..

Javier Colon – Stitch by Stitch

America was introduced to Javier Colon through a series of commercials for NBC’s The Voice, where they showed him doing a cover of Time After Time. He was an early favorite in the competition, and he eventually went on to win the whole show!

Stitch By Stitch is the original song they gave to Javier, and it was perfect for him. It starts off slow, but just wait till the 0:45 mark when the chorus kicks in. It’s an addicitive hook that you’ll be hard-pressed to shake.

Rusko – Woo Boost

I’d heard this song in a number of Dubstep mixes, and I finally decided to check out the video. Yikes! If this video is any representation of what an acid trip is like, then I’m glad I stayed away! As usual, the YouTube commenters bring the funny. Here’s my favorite one:

wuuuuuuuuuuuuuub womp womp womp womp, womp womp, womp womp womp wub wub womp wub wub wub, womp womp womp womp, wub wub wubwub womp, wub womp womp, wub wub wub wub wub womp womp womp, wub wub wub wub womp, womp womp, womp womp womp womp, wub wub wub wub,wom womp womp, wub wub wub wub, wompwompwompwomp, wub wub wub wub, womp womp womp wub womp womp womp womp

That’s all for now.. If you’ve got any tunes that you think I’d like, send me an e-mail!
