What I’m Listening To – 12/13/11

I posted Skrillex’s remix of Levels over the weekend because it just couldn’t wait until Tuesday. But I’ve been listening to a few other songs as well, and I think you’re going to enjoy them!

Bingo Players – Cry (Just A Little)

I was flipping through some of the Music Choice channels over the weekend, and I stopped flipping when this song came on. Bingo Players is a Dutch dance duo, and this is by far their best track! Does the song sound strangely familiar? That’s because Cry (Just a Little) is a remix of Brenda Russell’s 1988 single “Piano In The Dark”. While I like the original song, I really love what Bingo Players has done with it!

Of Monster And Men – Little Talks

When I first heard this song, I was positive that Dia Frampton (from NBC’s “The Voice”) was singing the vocals. Imagine by surprise when I learned that Of Monsters and Men were actually an indie/folk band from Iceland! If you like bands like Mumford & Sons, you’re going to love these guys. Be on the lookout for their album, due to be released next week!
