What I’m Listening To – 03/27/12
It’s been awhile since I did one of these posts, because I haven’t been listening to anything new lately. But my playlist was getting a little stale, so I picked up a few new (to me) tunes over the weekend. Hope you enjoy ’em!
Outasight – Tonight Is The Night
Apparently this song debuted back in November during The X Factor, and was later used in commercials for the Academy Awards and Pepsi. Our local radio station has been playing it in heavy rotation lately, and it finally got to me. If How To Make It In America was still on, there’s no doubt that this track would make the Season 3 soundtrack. It’s a cool song, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else Outasight has to offer.
Calvin Harris – Feel So Close
This is another song that I kept hearing on the radio, and I finally had to check it out. I was surprised to find out that Calvin Harris was behind this song, as it’s quite different than his normal stuff.. Take Colours for example, which sounds a lot like Daft Punk. In any event, I’m really digging this track, check it out if you haven’t heard it already!
Katy Perry – Ninjas In Paris
Katy Perry recently appeared on Radio 1, where she chose to cover Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Niggas in Paris”. I actually found out about it from TMZ, and I actually like her version better than the original.. Go figure!
That’s all for now.. If you’ve got any tunes that you think I’d like, send me an e-mail!
