What I’m Listening To – 02/28/12

Over the weekend, I went to Atlantic City to see War and Edgar Winter perform at the House of Blues. I didn’t know much about either band, but I’m never one to pass up free tickets from our casino host. And as it turned out, the concert was surprisingly good!

Edgar Winter – Frankenstein

This video was taken a few years ago when Edgar Winter visited Caesars Palace in Atlantic City. Watching Edgar Winter perform live was pretty amazing, as he’s a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist.. You just don’t see talent like this from today’s artists! Winter performed many of his classic hits, but we also got to hear some of his new material as well. The title track Rebel Road features Slash, and it rocks!

War – Low Rider

Whenever I hear this song, I instantly think about Dazed and Confused. This song kicks ass, and we sat through a lot of painful performances waiting for the band to play Low Rider. Unfortunately, they decided to use this song to introduce the band, and we got up at that point and left. They just didn’t sound that great in person, and that was a bummer. But overall, it was still a good time.
