What I’m Listening To – 01/17/12

I’m usually the one introducing new music to my girlfriend, but she actually turned me on to some new tunes this week. There’s some really good stuff here, so give ’em a listen and let me know what you think.

Coldplay – Paradise

While Coldplay has a HUGE following, I’ve never been able to get into their music.. But Paradise has got me singing a different tune. The song has that signature melody Coldplay is known for, but the chrorus is what got me hooked. It’s is just insane, with a bass track that sounds awesome. You need a good subwoofer to really appreciate how great it sounds! The video (seen above) is also pretty fun, so be sure to check it out..

Breathe Carolina – Blackout

Here’s another track I’ve had on heavy rotation this past week.. When I first heard it, I thought it was Cobra Starship.. I don’t know much about the band, but I’ll definitely be on the lookout for their next single.
