Wawa’s Hoagiefest Is Back With $5 Shortis and $6 Classics

Wawa is a chain of convenience stores and gas stations similar to 7-11 (but better). They were founded over 60 years ago in the Philadelphia region, and today they have over 1,000 locations all up and down the East Coast, with a large number of stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. One thing they’re known for are their hoagies, which are made to order and are great!

Since 2008, Wawa has run a summertime Hoagiefest promotion, offering up $5 Shorti and $6 Classic hoagies, including all hot and cold varieties. And this year they’re extending it for an additional four weeks, running from Monday, June 17th through Sunday August 11th.

As someone who spends most of my weekends at the beach, it’s great being able to roll up to a Wawa and grab a hearty sandwich on the cheap, as food down the shore is NOT cheap at all. Usually I’ll get a meatball sandwich or tuna hoagie. I recently tried their chicken parm chicken strip sandwich, and it was really good as well, so I’ll definitely be getting that again!

This year, Wawa has teamed up with former Philadelphia Eagles’ center Jason Kelce and wife, Delaware County native Kylie Kelce, offering up two custom “Kelce Classics” that reflect the way they order their hoagies:

• The “Jason” – Italian with mayo, provolone, tomato, banana peppers on a white roll.
• The “Kylie” – Honey Turkey with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, banana peppers on a wheat roll.

“It’s frickin’ Hoagiefest and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Wawa on their beloved summer tradition of spreading happiness in Philly and beyond,” said Jason and Kylie Kelce. “It’s our favorite time of year and we’re hoping ‘The Jason’ and ‘The Kylie’ ‘Kelce Classics’ make your summer that much brighter.”

In addition to ordering The Kelces’ favorite hoagies, customers can visit Wawa’s social media channels on Facebook, Instagram & TikTok from June 20th through June 23rd for a chance to win Hoagiefest swag perfect for summer including a towel, bucket hat, koozie and t-shirt.
