Treat Mom To An Amazing Mother’s Day Brunch At Sugar Factory
Sugar Factory American Brasserie is one of my favorite spots, with amazing (not to mention huge) cocktails, decadent and tasty entrees, and desserts like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Seriously, bring your stretchy pants, because you’re going to need them.
For Mother’s Day, Sugar Factory has rolled out a special menu to celebrate Mom, and we were invited to try it out early. Let me tell you, everything was amazing! As you can see from these photos, they’ve got a selection of original, handcrafted cocktails, a number of delicious starters and entrees to choose from, and two desserts that are TO DIE FOR!
I started off with the Sugar Runner ($17), a tropical rum cocktail made with fruits, light and dark rum. Not only was this delicious, but it packed quite a punch (or maybe it was because I barely ate all day, saving room for this epic dinner). Either way, I highly recommend it. The other drinks sounded equally good, but I decided to pace myself.
Next up, we ordered some appetizers for the table. I was stoked for the Field Green Salad ($15), which has sliced strawberries, toasted pecans, blue cheese, and is in a sherry vinaigrette. It’s a massive salad, definitely big enough for two to share. While it was good, I was blown away by the New England Seafood Chowder ($13), which had scallops, shrimp, and cod, with oyster crackers on top. Absolutely DE-LICIOUS!
For my entree, I went with the Angus Filet & Maine Lobster Surf & Turf ($79), which comes with an 8oz Angus filet, Maître d’ butter, roasted Main lobster tail, melted butter & lemon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The steak and lobster were both cooked to perfection, and I couldn’t get enough of the mashed potatoes. A classic dish for a reason. If Mom’s not looking for something quite so filling, the Seared Honey Mustard Glazed Salmon ($36) seemed to be a hit with others around me.
Lastly, for dessert we couldn’t decide between the Strawberry Brownie Shortcake ($18) or the Strawberry Cheesecake Waffle ($21), so we got both. And I’m so glad we did, because both of them were phenomenal! The combination of a warm brownie, strawberry sauce and vanilla ice cream is a classic, and it was freaking delicious. Equally great was their other dessert, warm waffles stuffed with strawberries and NY cheesecake. Super decadent, so good!
Needless to say, Sugar Factory really knocked it out of the park with their special Mother’s Day menu, and I walked/rolled out of there fat and happy. Talk about an amazing meal.
