The Macintosh Gets A Futuristic Facelift
The guys over at CURVED/labs have created a futuristic Macintosh tribute, and let me tell you, if Apple were ever to design such a computer, I would buy one in a heartbeat!
The Macintosh Neue is made from high-quality aluminum, with a front-facing SD card slot at the edge of a floppy disk-styled groove. The proposed Mac would be roughly based on the internals of a MacBook Air, including an 11.6″ screen enhanced with purely optional touch capabilities, along with a 128GB SSD drive, 4-8GB of memory, and an i7 CPU. And of course, the back of the Mac features an illuminated Apple logo.
Like the current iPhones and iPads, the Mac would be available in silver, gray and gold – including color-matched keyboards and mice.
I think Apple would sell tens of millions of these, but sadly it’s unlikely that such a machine will ever come to market. So we’ll just have to make do with these renderings instead.
