The All-New 2014 Toyota Corolla Will Be Revealed Tonight
I’m here in Los Angeles for the world debut of the new 2014 Toyota Corolla, an epic event that’s expected to draw over 1000 media folks from around the world! No doubt Toyota has a lot riding on the next-generation Corolla, and I can’t wait to see it in the flesh tonight!
The Toyota Corolla Furia Concept has been making the auto show rounds for awhile now, and I personally loved it when I saw it at NYIAS. It’s a very edgy and futuristic design that makes it stand out from the rest of the generic compacts out in the marketplace.
Unfortunately, I’m almost positive that the new Corolla will be toned down for production, as to not alienate their more conservative (ie. older) customers. But hopefully they’ll still incorporate some of the styling cues from the Furia Concept that made it stand out from the crowd.
Stay tuned, as I’ll be posting photos and details about the new Corolla after the event tonight.

An unveiling of any car, especially a run of the mill Toyota Corolla, is NOT “epic.” Please stop ruining the meaning of this word.

Trust me, the event was definitely deserving of the word “epic”.. It was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, had food from celebrity chef Richard Blais (from Top Chef), insane Cirque du Soliel type performances from Fuerza Bruta, and some laughs courtesy of Adam Carolla. 🙂
