Sopranos Star James Gandolfini Dies At 51
Late last night, my Facebook wall started blowing up with messages about James Gandolfini passing away. At first, I assumed it was just another Internet hoax. But when I checked on TMZ, I saw the devastating news.
James Gandolfini — who famously played Tony Soprano on “The Sopranos” — died earlier today in Italy … TMZ has learned.
Gandolfini was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, and he’s believed to have suffered a heart attack in his hotel room. The worst part? The actor was only 51 years old!
As a Jersey boy who grew up around wanna-be mobsters like those portrayed on The Sopranos, the show held a special place in my heart. James Gandolfini, you will truly be missed.
Our prayers go out to his family.

So sad. he died way too young. The Sopranos was a great show and he was iconic.
