Sky Caliber Is A Terrifying 90-Foot-Tall Vertically Looping Water Slide
Growing up in New Jersey, I always wanted to go to Action Park. But with a well-deserved reputation as the most dangerous water park ever, thanks to their shoddy rides that killed several people and injured countless others over the years, my parents would hear nothing of it.
A number of personal-injury lawsuits led to the closure of Action Park in 1996, and that would be the end of Accident Park.. Or so we thought. Amazingly, Action Park reopened to the public last June, and now they’re upping the ante with an insane vertically looping water slide called the SkyCaliber.
The Sky Caliber is a 90-foot-tall water slide that features a 45-foot free fall leading into a 30-foot full vertical loop. The slide, which is currently undergoing testing, circumvents previous issues surrounding bathing suit friction by enclosing the rider inside an aluminum alloy-framed capsule.
The attraction is set to open in 2016, so you’ve got a year to mentally prepare yourself to get on this thing!
