Review: I-MEGO Throne Gold Headphones

When I first saw the I-MEGO Throne Gold headphones, I was a little apprehensive.. I’d heard nothing but great things about these headphones, but I didn’t realize how bling-bling they would be. But these days, it seems like headphones have become a fashion statement, so it only makes sense that I-MEGO trys to go after that brainwashed Beats-market with some flashy cans.

Thankfully, the THRONE is able to blend both acoustic and design innovations, delivering clear and heavy audio with a sleek and stylish look. All while maintaining a very competitive price point (MSRP of $130).

THRONE headphones feature the brand’s characteristic stellar sound provided by two high performance 40mm drivers. It places a premium on style and comfort with genuine leather and memory foam for long listening sessions. It also comes with a soft carrying pouche, as well as adaptors to accommodate any audio source, from synthesizers to airplane armrests. It includes a one-button music control with microphone that allows the listener to take calls or control the music.

While I’m a huge fan of over-the-ear headphones, many of them wear on my ears after awhile. Not so with these.. Thanks to the premium memory-foam ear pads, your ears enjoy pillow-soft comfort. They’re also REALLY light, you almost forget you’re wearing them after awhile. No question, these are one of the most comfortable headphones I’ve worn in quite awhile!

The THRONE comes in two colors, each one custom tuned to suit different musical tastes.

• Gold: Crystal clear audio with deep, powerful bass, best suited for rock, R&B, or hip hop.
• Poison: Crystal clear audio with balanced audio response, best suited for classical or new age music.

All in all, I was really impressed with the I-MEGO Throne Gold headphones. They have a very distinct look (like an old-fashioned microphone) that will make you stand out, the sound quality is second to none, and they’re unbelievably comfortable.
