Norwegian Cruise Line To Offer Cruises Out Of Philadelphia In 2026
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) just announced that they would be cruising out of Philadelphia, with voyages to Bermuda, as well as Canada and New England beginning April 2026. And as a huge cruiser (and New Jersey native), I couldn’t be more excited about this!
On April 16, 2026, Norwegian Jewel will commence seven-to-nine-day cruises to Bermuda, launching the city as a new cruise destination. Departing from the SouthPort Marine Terminal Complex, Norwegian Jewel’s Bermuda itineraries will feature overnight calls to Royal Naval Dockyard, Bermuda, providing guests more time to enjoy and discover the island’s turquoise blue waters and pink-sand beaches. The Jewel can accommodate up to 2,300 passengers.
When the weather turns cooler, from September 5 through October 7, 2026, Norwegian Jewel will sail 10 and 11-day open-jaw voyages to Canada and New England. The ship will alternate homeports between Philadelphia and Quebec City featuring calls in quainter ports in the region like Saguenay, Charlottetown and Halifax, Canada in addition to well-known ports such as Bar Harbor, Maine and Boston.
“As the first passenger cruise line to homeport in Philadelphia in many years, the arrival of Norwegian Jewel is a key milestone for NCL and our partners at the Port of Philadelphia,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We are looking forward to welcoming guests from the area and surrounding cities starting spring 2026 and offering them the vacation of a lifetime.”
This new homeport for NCL will provide residents in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region more access to cruising, as it will be the only cruise line sailing from Philly through October 17, 2026.
I’ve always wanted to visit Bermuda, and now with NCL (one of my favorite cruise lines) in my backyard, I’m definitely going to take advantage of this! You can see some of the Bermuda itineraries available for booking now on Norwegian’s website.
