Aston Martin has once again pushed the limits of luxury and performance with the launch of the 2026 Vanquish Volante—the world’s fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of raw power, high-end luxury, and open-air exhilaration, this drop-top beast is set to redefine what it means to drive an ultra-luxury performance car.

Unparalleled Power and Speed

The new Vanquish Volante is powered by Aston Martin’s new 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, cranking out a jaw-dropping 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse propels the Volante to 214 mph, making it the fastest front-engine production convertible on the market. The 0-62 mph time? Just 3.4 seconds.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark sums it up perfectly: “For 60 years, Aston Martin Volantes have defined the art of elegant, sporting, open-top motoring. With its stunning looks and outstanding V12 engine producing more power than any other front-engine production car on sale, Vanquish Volante has taken this philosophy to an entirely new level.”

Cutting-Edge Engineering for Unmatched Driving Dynamics

Aston Martin didn’t just remove the roof and call it a day—the Vanquish Volante has been meticulously engineered to match the dynamic capabilities of its coupe sibling. The eight-speed ZF automatic transmission ensures optimal power delivery to the rear wheels, while an electronic rear differential (E-diff), capable of transitioning from fully open to 100% locked in just 135 milliseconds, provides incredible handling precision.

The car’s adaptive Bilstein DTX dampers work with multiple driving modes—GT, Sport, and Sport+—to fine-tune the ride from a comfortable grand tourer to an aggressive, high-performance machine. A sophisticated Electronic Stability Program ensures maximum grip and control, making the Vanquish Volante as composed on winding roads as it is on the track.

Simon Newton, Director of Vehicle Performance and Attributes, explained: “The drive to ensure Vanquish Volante delivered the same class-leading performance as the Vanquish Coupe meant that, from inception, the engineering team worked on both Coupe and Volante simultaneously, allowing us to retain the dynamic capabilities and character of Vanquish Coupe with no compromise upon removing the roof.”

A Design Masterpiece: Beauty Meets Function

The new Vanquish Volante isn’t just about power—it’s a statement piece. It maintains Aston Martin’s signature front-engine, cab-rearward stance, with a sleek, sculpted silhouette that turns heads. The K-fold soft-top roof, one of the thinnest and most advanced in the industry, can be retracted in just 14 seconds and stored seamlessly under the tonneau cover without disrupting the car’s flowing lines.

The lightweight carbon-fiber body panels help keep weight gain minimal, ensuring the Volante retains its sharp handling characteristics. The front end features an enlarged 13% larger grille for improved cooling, while Matrix LED headlights and new aerodynamic enhancements, such as outer bumper vents, improve both aesthetics and functionality.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, describes it best: “Not only is it one of the most breathtakingly beautiful cars ever to wear the nameplate, it goes far beyond the expected and, like Coupe, captures the immense performance and intended purpose of a flagship model.”

Next-Level Interior and Tech

Inside, the Vanquish Volante is a luxurious cockpit built for those who appreciate the finer things. The cabin features a mix of premium Alcantara, semi-aniline leather, and brushed metal accents, while a 10.25-inch TFT driver display and Pure Black touchscreen infotainment system keep everything at your fingertips.

For the audiophiles, Aston Martin has partnered with Bowers & Wilkins to deliver a 15-speaker, double-amplified surround sound system that ensures every drive is accompanied by an elite soundtrack. The system is custom-tuned for the Vanquish Volante, delivering unmatched clarity and power.

The sports plus seats, with optional carbon-fiber performance seats, offer supreme comfort and support, while the heated and ventilated seating options ensure year-round enjoyment. Aston Martin also includes multiple driver assistance systems, such as:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
  • Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring
  • 360° 3D Surround Camera
  • Traffic Sign Recognition

Performance-Tuned Braking and Tires

With great power comes great stopping power. The Vanquish Volante is equipped with a carbon-ceramic braking system, featuring 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. These lightweight brakes not only enhance performance but also provide superior heat resistance during aggressive driving.

Aston Martin collaborated with Pirelli to develop bespoke P ZERO™ tires, available in both summer and winter variants. These tires feature Pirelli’s Noise Cancelling System (PNCS) for improved comfort without sacrificing grip.

Exclusive and Limited: Own a Piece of Automotive History

The Vanquish Volante is part of an extremely limited production run, contributing to the exclusivity of the Vanquish nameplate. Each of the models will be hand-crafted and can be customized through Aston Martin’s Q by Aston Martin personalization service, offering bespoke materials, colors, and even unique engineering modifications for discerning buyers.

First deliveries are set for Q3 2025, and while pricing hasn’t been announced yet, we expect a starting price around $500,000, given the price of the coupe. Even with that hefty price tag, they will sell out in record time, so if you want one don’t delay!
