Netflix’s Squid Game Season 2 To Premiere On December 26

Squid Game took the world by storm when it was released in September 2021, with everyone clamoring for another season after that cliffhanger of a finale. And our wish is finally coming true, with Director Hwang Dong-hyuk bringing fans back into the twisted competition in late December with Squid Game Season 2.

Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind, determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport. Using this fortune to fund his search, Seong Gi-hun starts with the most obvious of places: look for the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway.

But when his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined: To end the game, he needs to re-enter it. That’s right. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.

Squid Game Season 2 premieres on December 26, 2024, and I can’t think of a better way to spend the Christmas holiday than binging the new season. But that’s not all. Director Hwang confirms that the fierce clash between Gi-hun and Front Man will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will air in 2025!
