MINI John Cooper Works GP Debuts At LA Auto Show
Earlier this year, we wrote about the MINI John Cooper Works GP, the “fastest MINI ever built”.
After months and months of anticipation, MINI is unveiling the car today at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and answering a bunch of questions we had about it.
Here are the important facts:
- The fastest MINI ever built: 211HP, 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, top speed of 150MPH
- Extensively equipped with John Cooper Works motor sport technology
- Limited edition – Only 2,000 units to be built; 500 allocated to US customers
- U.S. Pricing: $39,950
This car is the total package, the ultimate track car that you can still drive to and from work. I’ve always been a big MINI fan, and hopefully I’ll be able to get some track time behind the wheel of a GP and see what it’s capable of.
