Smooth Operator: MANSCAPED Handyman Face Shaver Review
As someone who’s facial hair grows at a ridiculous rate, I’ve usually got a 5 o’clock shadow by quitting time. And if I’m coming home right after work, that’s not a big deal. But many times, I’m meeting up with friends in the city for happy hour, or going out on a date afterwards, so naturally I want to look my best.
Enter the MANSCAPED The Handyman, a compact electric face shaver that’s small enough to throw in your backpack, gym bag, or briefcase. Equipped with a sleek magnetic blade cover and thoughtfully designed to be portable, quick-charging, and waterproof, this revolutionary, travel-friendly device is your new go-to gadget for trimming, styling, and touch-ups.
I have been testing out The Handyman for a few weeks, and let me tell you, there’s a lot to like about it. Its dual-action blade head is engineered with SkinSafe technology to reduce the risk of nicks and cuts, and the foil shaver blade can be used for a quick clean-shave, or you can use the long-hair leveler to trim/maintain your beard length and such.
Here are the key features of the MANSCAPED Handyman:
- Dual-Action SkinSafe Blade Head
- Hybrid Long-Hair Leveler and Foil Shaver Blades
- Up to 60 Minutes Runtime
- 5-Minute Quick Charge Option
- Low Battery Indicator
- Compact (4.5” H X 2.4” W X 1.2” D)
- Waterproof
- Magnetic Blade Cover
- USB-C Cable
Personally, I shave my neck as close as possible, while rocking the stubble look on my cheeks and jawline, and The Handyman works perfect for that. While I use a traditional razor at home, along with a trimmer for the stubble look, I’m constantly on the road (weekends at the beach, lots of travel for work, overnight dates, etc), so having something compact like this that I can throw in my bag is super convenient. The magnetic protective cover is also great.
Thanks to The Handyman’s quick charging Li-ion battery, you get up to 60 minutes of runtime to get your groom on. And if you’re short on time, a 5-minute quick charge option (via USB-C cable) will give you enough juice to clean things up. A full charge takes around 90 minutes, an LED indicator letting you know when it’s complete. So yeah, battery life will never be an issue.
With an IPX7 waterproof rating, you can use The Handyman for wet or dry trimming. Plus, you can rinse it under running water for easy clean-up, you simply turn on the shaver and run the blades under the faucet. Then remove the blade, gently shake any leftover hair from inside the blade, run the dual-action blade under running water to rinse any of the leftover hair, and then lay all the pieces out to air dry completely.
Priced at $79.99, I think The Handyman is a solid buy, and I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick and convenient way to achieve a clean-shaven look while away from home. Are there fancier shavers out there? Definitely, but none that you can easily bring with you, let alone throw in your pocket. That’s MANSCAPED’s unique selling point right there.
Honestly, after using the MANSCAPED Handyman for these past few weeks, I may just make this my go-to shaver instead of something that I only use on the go, as it’s just that good. It’s one smooth operator, and my grooming game has never looked better.
So what do you say guys, are you ready to look your best wherever (and whenever) your day or night takes you? Then order yourself The Handyman today!
