High school and college seniors have really been thrown for a loop this year, forced to finish up their school year online amidst the coronavirus pandemic, and unable to celebrate graduation by walking across the stage after those years of hard work to get there.

Krispy Kreme has a small consolation for these graduating high school and college seniors, as they’re giving away a free graduate dozen on May 19th, no strings attached. All you need to do is show up at a Krispy Kreme wearing their cap and gown, or other Class of 2020 swag proving their senior status, and walk out with these sugary treats.

Other 2020 apparel that will be accepted includes:

  • Cap and gown with 2020 tassel
  • Class of 2020 apparel (t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc.)
  • 2020 letterman jacket featuring senior status
  • 2020 class ring
  • Graduation announcement featuring name with matching ID
  • Student photo ID featuring senior status
  • Other Class of 2020 senior swag

“We feel for all of the high school & college seniors. We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma,” said chief marketing officer Dave Skena. “We can’t replace that… but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special ‘Graduate Dozen’ on us. Moms, dads, friends and family can buy this ‘Graduate Dozen’ all week long to honor their favorite graduates, but only seniors can get one for free.”

The 2020 Graduate Dozen will be available for purchase between May 18-24, and it includes an assortment of classic varieties: Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, Cake Batter Filled, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, and Yellow Iced Original Glazed Doughnuts.

Dammit, now I’m hungry for some donuts! 🍩😋
