Jaguar F-PACE Performance Crossover Is Given The Green Light
Remember the Jaguar C-X17 concept vehicle that was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2013? It received such an overwhelmingly positive response that Jaguar decided to make the performance crossover a reality.
This week at the North American International Auto Show, Jaguar confirmed that it will in fact be bringing the five-seat performance crossover to market in 2016, and it’ll be named the Jaguar F-PACE.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, commented: “The Jaguar F-PACE, inspired by the F-TYPE, represents a perfectly judged balance of performance, style and practicality. It offers a unique combination of Jaguar sports car inspired exterior design, fused beautifully with a thoroughly practical and spacious luxury interior. The F-PACE is our family sports car.”
The Jaguar F-PACE is underpinned by Jaguar’s innovative aluminum-intensive architecture and advanced suspension system. This exhilarating performance crossover couples leading interior space and exceptional on-road dynamics with five-seat functionality to produce a true performance crossover. It will encapsulate everything that Jaguar stands for: beautiful design, precise handling, a supple ride, luxurious interior finishes and cutting-edge technology.
What do you think about Jaguar getting into the crossover game?

Hard to say whether I like it or not. I didn’t snap any photos in Detroit, but saw it there. The trouble with Jaguar is that they have hot models in the booth, so it’s tough to concentrate.
