Introducing The 2015 Dodge Challenger
Feast your eyes on the 2015 Dodge Challenger, which is being revealed today at the New York Auto Show. As you can see from the photos, the Challenger is a throwback to it’s 1971 predecessor, featuring numerous styling cues from the ’71 including the split front grille, tail lamps, the famous twin nostril hood, and even an optional shaker hood!
While the changes are subtle, the 2015 Challenger is easily distinguishable from the current model at first glance, with a new split grille, LED daytime running lights, revised tail lamps and more pronounced power bulge on the hood.
There are eight Challenger trim packages to choose from: SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, 6.4-liter Scat Pack and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker. So whether you’re happy with 305HP or want a fire breathing beast that puts out 485HP, there’s a Challenger for you. And the Challenger will be available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
No word yet on the rumored supercharged HEMI model that’s been expected for awhile, but you never know.. Dodge might make a surprise announcement before the show’s over!
The interior of the 2015 Challenger has also received some updates, including a high-sill center console, a driver-focused instrument panel, aluminum bezels and a host of new color and trim options including classic Houndstooth. There’s a prominent 8.4-inch touchscreen Uconnect Access infotainment system, along with a smaller 7-inch display found in the instrument cluster.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger will hit showroom floors this fall. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.
