Find A Place To Stay On Airbnb
I was reading an article in FastCompany last week called “The Sharing Economy”, and it talked about the various services out there that let you share virtually anything with anyone, anywhere in the world. You can become your own bank and loan out money to others, rent out office space on a day rate, sell your unused parking spot in a congested area, etc.
It’s a new concept that’s going to take some time to get used to, but there’s one service that’s been VERY successful in this sharing niche, and it’s called Airbnb.
Airbnb connects people who have space to spare with those who are looking for a place to stay. Guests can build real connections with their hosts, gain access to distinctive spaces, and immerse themselves in the culture of their destinations. Whether it’s an urban apartment or countryside castle, Airbnb makes it effortless to showcase your space to an audience of millions, and to find the right space at any price point, anywhere.
In a major city, the average hotel room costs around $300/night. But with Airbnb, you’ve got thousands of options available at every price point – From a futton in a studio apartment to the penthouse on 5th Avenue, and everything in between! I’m currently searching for a place to stay for July 4th weekend, and have come across quite a few promising options.
Airbnb is now in more than 8,000 cities, and rents houses, castles, cars, yachts — even igloos! Definitely check them out the next time you’re traveling!
