Top Tasty Cocktails You Can Make Yourself
Before we get started, I just want to stress that we are not encouraging you to consume lots of alcohol, we just want to share some simple and tasty recipes that will make you the king (or a queen) of a college party. There’s no need to pre-game with some cheap wine before the party. Just buy simple ingredients and transform them into one of these alcoholic masterpieces. Are you ready to impress your friends? Then check out these popular cocktails:
1. Jammy Dodger
This one is not exactly a cocktail but a shot: however, it doesn’t make it less tasty. To make it, you should get some blackberry liquor, some sugar, and double cream. Start filling the glass: first liquor, then cream and at the end sprinkle the sugar on the top of it.
2. Sex on the Beach
One of the popular cocktails in every bar, this one will rock your party: watch out, girls! The recipe is cranberry juice (200ml), vodka (75 ml), orange juice (around 100 ml but depending on the amount of ice), and peach schnapps (also 75 ml). Combine all the ingredients (it will work perfectly if you have a shaker), then add ice and serve.
3. Pina Colada
If you like something sweet, the choice of the cocktail is obvious. To make this tropical treat, you will need 25 ml of single and coconut cream, 50 ml of white rum, and 200 ml (or a bit more) of pineapple juice. Mix it together and serve with ice and a cute cherry on top of it. Some good advice: you can save on rum and creams and substitute it with Malibu mixed with pineapple juice.
4. Mojito
Who doesn’t like a mojito? This cocktail will never lose popularity at college parties, so here is the recipe: take half of a lime and cut it into four equal pieces. Add some fresh mint leaves, soda water, some sugar, and 50 ml of Captain Morgan rum. You can add some berries to make it taste better or leave a classic recipe.
5. Long Island Iced Tea
We couldn’t go by this popular cocktail and added it to our list of top tastiest and most affordable cocktails for your party. Be careful; it can make you drunk within a few minutes. So, you will need 25 ml of gin, vodka, tequila, light rum, and lime juice complemented with Coca-Cola. Mix everything up and enjoy.
6. Tequila Sunrise
Be careful: you can fall in love with the taste and color of this cocktail. To prepare the one, you need to take tequila (50-75 ml), grenadine syrup (25 ml), and around 175 ml of orange juice. First mix tequila with orange juice in the glass, add some ice and then start slowly pouring there grenadine transforming it in the color of sunrise.
7. Strawberry Daiquiri
Girls will like this: get 60 ml of white rum, add 15 ml of lime juice and some syrup, and combine all the ingredients in a blender. Slowly pour into the glass, add some ice and decorate with strawberries. The total cost will not exceed $2.
8. White Russian
For coffee lovers, prepare this simple cocktail: mix 60 ml of vodka with some tasty coffee cream liqueur (we recommend Baileys), top up with cream, and serve.
