All are great trimmers in their own right, just with a few different options and price points, since everyone might not have the same wants and needs.

We previously reviewed their Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra, their new top-of-the-line trimmer with a cutting edge advanced dual-head system and SkinSafe blades, along with the Lawn Mower 4.0 Pro, which doesn’t have the foil shaver but is otherwise a rather feature-packed choice.

Now, we’re going to talk about the MANSCAPED The Lawn Mower 3.0 Plus, which is a great way for a grooming novice to ease into the world of manscaping without breaking the bank. It is an efficient trimmer with everything you need to get the job done. After spending some time with it, here are our thoughts on their entry-level groin and hair trimmer.

The Lawn Mower 3.0 was a super popular trimmer when it was released back in 2020, and the 3.0 Pro builds upon that with an updated SkinSafe trimmer blade for a close, confident shave, an LED spotlight with an on/off switch, a tri-level LED battery charge level indicator, a USB-C charging port, and two adjustable length-setting combs (2/4/6mm and 8/10/12mm).

Compared to the Lawn Mower 4.0 Pro, the main things that you’re giving up are the travel lock (a feature that locks the trimmer when traveling so that it can’t accidently turn on), a carrying case, quick charging, and a soft touch grip. While those are all nice things to have, the lack of them won’t affect the trimmer’s usability whatsoever.

MANSCAPED’s updated SkinSafe ceramic blade is rounded for comfort, with a built-in guard designed to help reduce nicks and cuts. Cutting yourself “down there” while trimming is really painful and traumatic, so I appreciate that they’re looking out for our boys like that. That said, while I didn’t have any issues, SkinSafe technology does not guarantee cut protection.

Included with The Lawn Mower 3.0 Plus are two adjustable length-setting combs (2/4/6mm & 8/10/12mm), so you can trim your pubes down to the exact length of your liking. I went with the shortest length for my crown jewels, but when using it on my chest, legs and other areas, the ability to choose between different lengths was greatly appreciated.

As you can see in the photo above, the Lawn Mower 3.0 Plus can also be used in the shower, as it has an IPX7 waterproof rating. This makes cleanup a breeze, as you can just rinse those hairs down the drain, rather than sweeping up your floor. And the built-in LED spotlight ensures you can see what you’re doing, even in low-light situations like the shower. Because let’s face it, you definitely want to see what you’re doing when there’s something sharp involved.

One thing that I didn’t like about my old trimmer was that when the battery got low, the motor would slow down, which in turn would cause hairs to get pulled – ouch!! Thankfully, the Lawn Mower 3.0 Pro delivers constant RPMs, which helps prevent the blade from slowing down as the battery dies, creating a consistent shave throughout.

A 600mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery provides up to 60 minutes of runtime, which is more than enough time to get your manscaping on. To charge your device, simply plug the USB-C charging cable into the USB-C port. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge, and you’ll know it’s finished when all three LEDs are lit up on the trimmer.

Priced at just $64.99, I think The Lawn Mower 3.0 Plus offers a lot of bang for the buck, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an introduction to life on the trimmed side.
