CMUK. Shoes Encourage You To Take On Life Feet First

Two guys who have a love for traveling set out to design a shoe that would suit their adventurous lifestyle and still delivering style, comfort, quality and versatility. They wanted a shoe that could take people wherever their adventures go, from a trail in the Rockies to a walk in the park, from a bike ride to a fancy dinner, from the beach to a dance club or a bar. A shoe with the same sense of exploration that they had, one that you could throw in your bag or suitcase and know you were good to go…

The result of their hard work is the CMUK. (“SMOOK”) This lifestyle sneaker captured the attention of fellow adventure seekers when they launched a Kickstarter campaign last December, blowing past their funding goals with time to spare. Clearly, they were onto something here.

Fast forward a year, and the CMUK. shoe can be purchased on their website for $65, with 9 different colors to choose from. I decided to try out a pair for myself, since I’m a frequent traveler myself and seemed to fit the demographic they’re going after. And since I love standing out in a crowd, I went with the “Roma Rossa” shoes that you see above.

I was hesitant about going with such a bold color, but as soon as I opened the box, I knew that I had made the right decision. The shoes look very Italian, sleek and sophisticated. And talk about lightweight – When you put them on, it’s almost like you’re wearing nothing at all!

Another big selling point of the CMUK’s for me was the fact that they fold flat, making them easy to pack in a suitcase without taking up valuable space (or weight). In the past, I’d skip going to the hotel gym on business trips because I didn’t want to bring big and heavy sneakers with me. The CMUK. solves that problem

I haven’t had a chance to take the CMUK. “off-road” yet, but given the shoe’s thin soles, I’m honestly not sure that I’d want to, as I like a little extra support and cushioning in my shoes. But if you’re someone who wears toe shoes without incident, the CMUK. should suit you just fine. (And you’ll look better to boot, as those toe shoes look ridiculous)

Overall, I was really impressed with the CMUK. shoe, and I highly recommend them to anyone with a similar lifestyle. These shoes will be traveling with me wherever I go from now on, and I can’t wait to see what these guys come up with next.
