20th Century Fox just dropped a teaser trailer for Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, and it looks freaking amazing! Set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, apes are now the dominant species on Earth (and can speak English), while humans have descended into feral, animalistic beings who live in the shadows, much like in the original 1968 movie.

As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, a common chimpanzee named Noa embarks on a harrowing journey alongside a young human named Mae that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past, and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

Directed by Wes Ball, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes relaunches the franchise 7 years after the end of the Caesar trilogy, with Kingdom set to open in theaters on May 24, 2024.
