Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen one of Matt Rife’s comedy bits, as the up-and-coming comic has gained a cult-like following thanks to viral clips across social media showcasing his quick wit and crowd work.

Thanks to his new-found fame, he landed a coveted Netflix special last November, Matt Rife: Natural Selection. Unfortunately, it honestly kind of sucked.. That’s not me being a hater, as I’m actually a big fan of his and even tried getting tickets when he came to town. His special just wasn’t all that funny, and I wasn’t alone in thinking that.

You see, where Matt Rife really shines is with his crowd work, he’s quick-witted and can come up with jokes right on the spot. A skill he likely picked up during his time on Wild ‘n Out. So why not produce a special that focuses on that unique talent of his, right?
