Book Review: The Power of Six
The Power Of Six, the highly anticipated sequel to I Am Number Four, comes out tomorrow! But I was lucky enough to get my hands on an advanced reading copy, and I just finished the book over the weekend..
If you liked I Am Number Four, you’re going to love this book as well! After a bit of a slow start, the story picks up the pace, ending in an all-out battle with a few epic twists.
The Power of Six introduces us to Marina (Number Seven), and half of the story is narrated from her point of view. We learn more about her life on Earth, as well as her legacies.
It was interesting seeing things from two different perspectives. You get to see parts of the story from Number Four (in the United States), and other parts from Number Seven (in Spain), and eventually how they come together.
While much is revealed in The Power of Six (like what was in the second spaceship that left Lorien in John’s visions), it also leaves you with a ton of unanswered questions and storylines. I won’t ruin it by giving anything away.. All I can say is there will be a lot of people anxiously waiting for Pittacus Lore’s next book!
This was a fantastic, action-packed, thrilling sequel to I Am Number Four. I really liked the way the story played out, and I highly recommend picking this book up!
