American Pie App Rejected By Apple’s App Store
The new American Pie film American Reunion opens in theaters this Friday. To help promote the movie, Universal Pictures thought it’d be a great idea to release an app called Stifler’s App Suite featuring a soundboard of all the various raunchy sayings from the Stifmeister!
Unfortunately, Apple’s App Store review team rejected the app due to “foul language.” The rejection forced the Universal team to resubmit a watered-down version of the app.
Here are some of the sayings that Apple thought were too crude for the App Store:
- Suck me beautiful
- M-I-L-F, mom I’d like to F**k
- This one time at band camp, I stuck a flute in my p***y
- Eat S**t
Sure, this isn’t the first time that Apple’s rejected an app because of bad language. But why didn’t Apple just give the app a 17+ age rating instead? And what about the fact that you can purchase the American Pie movies themselves on iTunes?? What’s going on here!
I guess this is one instance where Android users get the upper hand.

I wonder if they were planning to charge for this app.

The app is free on Google Play, so I’d imagine it’ll be the same for the iOS version.
