2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir Ushers In A New Level Of Luxury
Buick recently introduced their new luxury sub-brand Avenir (French for “future”), their upscale trim level that elevates the luxury experience with unique styling cues, an extensive set of standard features, and premium materials throughout the vehicle. The first vehicle to get the Avenir treatment was the Enclave, and we had a chance to experience the car firsthand on a road trip last month. It was impressive, to say the least.
Now, Buick’s flagship sedan is the same treatment with the introduction of the 2018 Buick Lacrosse Avenir, providing customers “a way to experience the highest expression of Buick luxury, regardless of whether they are shopping for a car or SUV.” Basically, they’re offering up an extra dose of luxury, along with an exclusive moniker (much like GMC did with their Denali sub-brand) and a slightly higher price tag.
In the case of the Lacrosse, the Avenir trimmings really elevate the car to another level, from a ho-hum Buick to something that really stands out. The LaCrosse Avenir’s design details were channeled from their concept cars for a more dramatic look, with a unique three-dimensional mesh upper and lower grille paired w/ chrome wings that tastefully elevate the look of the car in a subtle manner. And exclusive 19″ Pearl Nickel or available 20″ Midnight Silver wheels create a commanding road presence and complement the car’s timeless design.
Inside, Avenir-exclusive details include a Chestnut interior color theme, embroidered first-row headrests and Avenir-scripted sill plates. It’s classy, without going overboard.
Features available on other LaCrosse models that come standard on the Lacrosse Avenir include a powerful 310HP V6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission, navigation and Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium audio, as well as a panoramic moonroof. Available features include Ebony interior, Intelligent Twin-Clutch AWD, Dynamic Drive Package featuring continuous variable real-time dampening control and a suite of advanced safety features.
We got a sneak peek at the LaCrosse Avenir last month, and it’s a seriously sharp looking ride, with the same upgraded styling, features and materials as seen on the Enclave. Buick really knocked it out of the park!
The Buick LaCrosse Avenir will arrive at dealers in early 2018, with a starting price of $45,795.
